Service Projects
Every Christian has a calling and a responsibility to serve as a living example of Jesus’ teachings - to serve one another. For Christians, young and old, service should be an attitude, a way of life. It is important not only to listen and understand the Word of God, but also to apply the lessons learned, through daily life and service to others. This is essential to living as a Catholic Christian following in the footsteps of Jesus.
All CYO Teams in the Diocese are asked to participate in at least one service project each season. Below is a list of suggested ways your team can participate in Christ’s mission of mercy.

Sports and Spirituality
CYO is an extension of youth ministry. We believe that the Gospel can be shared through sports. To learn more about the relationship between sports and spirituality, click on the following links:
C.Y.O. Religion Award
In order to assist the Catholic children of the Diocese of Allentown to grow with their God, parish and community, the C.Y.O. offers this religious award program. This award is designed to promote spiritual growth and is intended for youth in Grades 3 to 8.
The requirements for each grade are detailed below. Upon completion of the program, each student is awarded a certificate of completion. In order to receive these certificates, parish/school/CYO/religious education staff are asked to contact Dan Jones at [email protected] with a list of the student's names, grade, and date certificates are needed. Please allow at least 2 weeks for our office to complete these certificates and return them.
