We are looking forward to greeting you all at the Altar Server Mass on April 13th at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena in Allentown.
Below are some key details for you to know before the event:
- Parking: Parking will be available in the lots in front of the Cathedral on North 18th Street, in the back of the Cathedral off of North Saint George Street, and between North Saint Cloud Street and Russell Street. Additionally, parking is also available at the Allentown Farmers Market, which is within walking distance from the Cathedral.
- Arrival time: Please plan to arrive promptly by 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th. Mass will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.
- Seating/Procession/Vesting: During Mass, altar servers may choose to participate in the entrance procession. For those who wish to process into the Cathedral, please proceed downstairs to the Parish Activity Center (PAC) for vesting. Please do not forget to bring your altar server robes for the Mass, as they contribute to the solemnity and reverence of the occasion. For those who do not wish to process in the entrance procession, you may opt to sit with your family in the Cathedral.
- Reception: Following the Mass, Bishop Schlert invites you and your families to join him for some refreshments in the PAC (lower level of the Cathedral). This will be an opportunity for fellowship and a chance for you to meet other altar servers who have also answered the Lord’s call to serve in this ministry. Bishop Schlert will also be available for photographs, so please feel free to capture some memories of the day.
If you haven't already yet, please R.S.V.P. by April 5th.
