Full Job Description

The Diocese of Allentown has an immediate opening for a Director for the Office of Hispanic Leadership Development. The Director is primarily responsible for administering and supervising the Office of Hispanic Ministry.

Leadership Development. Guided by pastoral documents and Diocesan pastoral vision, the office addresses the pastoral needs of Hispanic Catholics in the Diocese of Allentown in order to strengthen their participation in the life of the Church. The office collaborates closely with and serves as a resource for the Office of Adult Catechesis and Evangelization and the Office of Young Adult and Campus Evangelization to provide for the formation and leadership development of Hispanic Catholics.

The successful candidate will be fluent in speaking and writing in both Spanish and English; also for translation, possess a Master’s Degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, or related field and have at least three years’ experience in pastoral and Hispanic ministry, preferably as a catechist and leader or teacher.

Prior supervisory and administrative experience desired. Must possess basic computer knowledge, including the MS Office suite. Valid PA driver's license required.
