According to the U.S. Census, by 2030, 25% of America's population will be 65 years and older. In our area, nearly half of this population will have some form of disability as a result of aging.

While we cannot reverse the debilitating effects of old age, we can begin to prepare seniors to meet the physical, mental and emotional demands of our country's aging population. Catholic Charities provides services for older adults that respond to those demands through assistance and referrals to a network of community partners.

PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM
Catholic Charities designed our senior program to meet the physical, social, emotional and material needs of each individual. The services may occur in individual's homes, in office settings, parishes or other locations. We measure our success based on
each client's ability to make progress toward the goals they set.

OUR SERVICES

  • Individual case management
  • Intake and assessment of individual needs
  • Professional counseling
  • Assistance in completing required forms
  • Compassionate listening
  • Referrals to other social service organizations

Clients become familiar with state-
and/or county-funded adult and aging programs. They receive support and guidance in
accessing these programs, including the full range of benefits for senior adults of which they or their family caregivers may not be aware. Senior adults experience a stronger sense of safety and well-being.
