Royal wedding fever has caught on in many places, but it has a particular soft spot at Immaculate Heart Middle School and High School outside Los Angeles, the school Meghan Markle attended from seventh to 12th grade.
“We love human life in all of its forms and at all of its stages, and we seek its legal protection from conception until natural death,” said Father Stephan Isaac, assistant pastor of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Sinking Spring.
It’s our way to make an extra effort to raise vocation awareness in our homes and to increase our prayer effort for vocations,” said Carolyn Tenaglia, parish director of religious education.
“Forgiveness, mercy and grace are available to you from God at every moment and in every circumstance ... even when they are not available to you from others,” said Deacon James Russo sharing the words of Pope Francis in saying, “God never tires of forgiving.”
“God has given us the perfect tool kit to live that life of holiness. He gives us the feminine genius, our charisms, the Holy Spirit, sacred Scripture and the Eucharist,” said Kelly Wahlquist, one of the keynoters at “Women: Hearts Afire – Be Who God Made You to Be,” the second annual Diocesan women’s conference May 5 at DeSales University, Center Valley.
“The Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA) helps Carbon County in many ways, benefitting our communities today and in the future,” Richard and Kathy Reaman, said.
“I like to keep art and objects as close to its original state as possible. So I began to research that statue and was shocked with what I found,” said Karin Crossley, parishioner and local artist.
“The program is an instrument or tool of the new evangelization par excellence,” said Deacon Bob Ellis, national coordinator, World Apostolate of Fatima, USA.
“Scripture teaches us that faith which does nothing in practice is thoroughly lifeless. As Catholics, we are called to reach out in love to all of our brothers and sisters in Christ ... to be the heart and hands of Jesus in ministering to those in need,” said Michael and Irene Kolessar, chairpersons for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal in Northampton County.
