The school community of Immaculate Conception School, Pen Argyl is celebrating the new school building for the new Early Learning Center. The new building will provide educational experiences for children of preschool age, kindergarten and first grade.
“In the Diocese of Allentown we really want to make and keep a promise that your gifts are used specifically in service to children, families, and adults through Catholic Charities, Catholic schools, Catholic Senior Housing, as well as vocations efforts, and Catholic Life and Evangelization ministries,” said Paul Acampora, secretary of the Diocesan Secretariat for Stewardship and Development.
“The least important word in the title is ‘bishop’ because the appeal is about people: the people we serve, the people who do the daily work of providing services and the generous people who make it all possible through their generosity to the appeal,” said Bishop of Allentown Alfred Schlert as he thanked supporters of the BAA.

The PIAA Class AAA wrestling tournament was held at the Giant Center, Hershey. Becahi won the state’s Class AAA team title last month and added a third place in the 2018 individual Class AAA championships, which ended March 10.
“We have very good young men who are serious about their vocation and make a difference in the seminaries they attend,” said Monsignor David James, addressing Serrans at their annual Day of Prayer for Vocations.
