ICF 102 - The Old Testament Online

ICF 102 – The Old Testament. The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself to His creation, and the story of His love for us. This course will provide a brief introduction to the origin of Sacred Scripture: its source, how the Canon was formed, and the senses in which we can interpret Scripture. The remainder of the course will focus on the Old Testament: the creation of the earth and God’s covenant of love with the human person, the fall into sin, and the revelation, over time, of God’s plan of salvation. This course will be presented Online by Rev.

ICF 101 - Christian Anthropology Online

ICF 101 – Christian Anthropology. What does it mean to be human? This course will examine who God is as the One who seeks to share Himself with His creation. A brief survey of Salvation History will be traced to Jesus Christ, the Redeemer who saves humanity, and teaches us what it means to be a human person. This course will be presented Online by Heather Maigur and is scheduled from Monday, August 27 to Sunday, September 23, 2018.

CAT II - Classroom Applications at St. Ambrose, Schuylkill Haven

CAT II – Classroom Applications. Practical  information for catechists on their role as formators in the Faith. The course includes  learning to create lesson plans, communication with parents and how to engage them in religious instruction, material delivery at age-appropriate levels, and more. This course will be presented by Mary Ellen Johns and is scheduled from 8:30AM-12:30PM, on Saturdays, August 18 & 25, 2018 at St. Ambrose, Schuylkill Haven.

Cost: $30.

CAT II - Classroom Applications at St. Thomas More, Allentown

CAT II – Classroom Applications. Practical  information for catechists on their role as formators in the Faith. The course includes  learning to create lesson plans, communication with parents and how to engage them in religious instruction, material delivery at age-appropriate levels, and more. This course will be presented by Deacon Peter Schutzler and is scheduled from 8:30AM-12:30PM, on Saturdays, August 11 & 18, 2018 at St. Thomas More, Allentown.

The course includes  learning to create lesson plans, communication with parents and how to engage them in religious instruction, material delivery at age-appropriate levels, and more. This course will be presented by Peggy Place and is scheduled from 8:30AM-12:30PM, on Saturdays, August 4 & 11, 2018 at St. Ignatius Loyola, Sinking Spring.

CAT I - The Creed Online

An overview of fundamental Catholic teachings based on the founding Symbol of our Faith. This course provides catechists with a foundation in the basic tenets of the Catholic Faith, and is a good starting point leading to further study.  This course is scheduled from Monday, January 7 to Sunday, February 3, 2019.
