Bethlehem Catholic High School Announces New Principal

The Board of Directors of Bethlehem Catholic High School has announced that Dr. Dean M. Donaher has been appointed Principal of Bethlehem Catholic High School effective July 17, 2023.

Most Reverend Alfred A. Schlert, Bishop of Allentown, Monsignor David L. James, Vicar General, and Father Keith A. Mathur, Chancellor, previously approved the Board’s recommendation.

A lifelong educator, Dr. Donaher brings a wealth of experience to the Bethlehem Catholic High School community. After beginning his career as a classroom teacher, Dr. Donaher served in several administrative roles in the Bethlehem Area School District, including Principal of Liberty High School and Director of Student Services for the Bethlehem Area School District.

He is a fourth degree Knight of Columbus and a member of Holy Infancy Parish, where he has served on the Parish Council.

Dr. Donaher earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Moravian College in Bethlehem. He completed a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree at Lehigh University and a doctoral degree (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership/Organizational Management at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

He holds both Pennsylvania Teacher’s and Principal’s certificates.

Bethlehem Catholic will begin the upcoming school year on August 28.
