Deacon Rick Scrak,welcomed a group of United Way Day of Caring participants at the at the Ecumenical Kitchen and Chew Street Community Center of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Allentown. The Day of Caring was held on June 20.
“The group arrived early in the morning and asked specifically what the kitchen’s needs are and how they can help with the ministry. Upon stating our needs, they all devised a plan of action where each one of the volunteers took an assignment and saw it to completion. They all worked well together and it was a true joy spending time with each one of them,” said Deacon Scrak.
