Twenty-six youth, one adult and the Diocese of Allentown were recognized with medals and awards at the ceremony conducted by the Allentown Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting.
“God has blessed us today with a new priest and servant. Today is a sign of God’s goodness to his people and to the people of the Diocese of Allentown,” said Bishop of Allentown Alfred Schlert.
As a new Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Global Fellow, Deacon Joseph Petrauskas of St. Columbkill, Boyertown started the new year by participating in a CRS Immersion Trip to Egypt, the spirit of which dovetails with World Refugee Day 2018, to be observed Wednesday, June 20, and Pope Francis’ Share the Journey campaign.
“Learn not to be afraid,” Beth Dobis Beers, Esq., said of consulting a financial or estate planner. “People think they don’t have enough money. The whole point of us being here is even if you have $500 in the bank, you can maybe turn it into $5,000. Make the first step – talk to a financial or estate planner.”
