Office of Prison Ministry

"I was in prison and you came to me."
-Matthew 25:36

The Office of Prison Ministry serves the spiritual needs of the people incarcerated in the Federal, State, and County correctional facilities within the five counties of the Diocese of Allentown.  Volunteers in this ministry engage in the New Evangelization by enacting the Corporal Work of Mercy, “Visit the Imprisoned,” which involves the sharing of the Gospel, thus bringing Christ to those who yearn for communion with Him.
