Marriage and Natural Family Planning

“The first setting in which faith enlightens the human city is the family. I think first and foremost of the stable union of man and woman in marriage. This union is born of their love, as a sign and presence of God’s own love, and of the acknowledgement and acceptance of the goodness of sexual differentiation, whereby spouses can become one flesh and are enabled to give birth to new life, a manifestation of the Creator’s goodness, wisdom and loving plan.”(Pope Francis, Lumen Fidei, 52)

The Office of Marriage and Natural Family Planning provides opportunities to encounter Christ by evangelizing engaged and married couples and offering training and catechesis on marriage and natural family planning.

The Office works together with parishes to share the prophetic message of the New Evangelization and promote the sanctity of marriage to equip singles, engaged and married couples to face society’s challenges. Strong marriages are a living sign of the Kingdom of God that blesses all those around them

The Office provides support and resources to parishes and parishioners in the following areas:

The Office of Evangelization and Formation oversees Marriage Preparation programs in the Diocese of Allentown. If you have any questions about marriage preparation, you can always speak with the priest at your parish or contact Kristin at the Office of Evangelization and Formation at kosenbach@allentowndiocese.org.
