Business Manager

This part time, approximately 25 hours per week, position assists with the administration of the day-to-day business and financial support to St. John the Baptist Parish and related operations. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile bank statements, process payroll, pay invoices and record all financial information in the accounting system
  • Prepare budget and financial Analyze accounting records, expenditures, and reporting processes
  • Manage business office which includes, staff management, personnel record keeping and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee maintenance efforts for all repairs including obtaining estimates, bids and contracts for lawn care, snow removal, pest control, phone, cable and computer related services. 
  • Coordinate fire/safety and boiler certification inspections, serve as emergency contact
  • Oversee vendor leases and contracts

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software and data base management
  • Experience with Sage/Peachtree accounting system preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • High degree of integrity, loyalty, dependability and strong work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in related field
  • Minimum two years’ experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
