What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.
-Saint Teresa of Calcutta
The family is a fundamental unit of the Church, and those who are in the role of parenting children, youth, and young adults deserve support as they strive to share the Catholic faith at home and participate as families in our parishes, regions, and in our diocese at large. Here you will find events, opportunities, and resources designed to help families thrive in their faith and grow in their relationship with Christ.
It is the Diocese of Allentown’s goal to give families the necessary tools to thrive as the domestic church. The Office of Youth, Young Adult, and Family Ministry strives to provide opportunities for families to grow together in prayer.

According to the Second Vatican Council’s Dogmatic Constitution on the Church: “The family, is so to speak, the domestic church.” (Lumen Gentium #11) This means that it is in the context of the family that we first learn who God is and to prayerfully seek His will for us.
