Administrators, Teachers, Support Personnel to Attend Diocesan Education Convention in BethlehemOctober 3, 2007 More than 1,200 Catholic School teachers and support staff from the 59 schools in the Diocese of Allentown are expected to attend the diocese's annual education convention to be held at Bethlehem Catholic High School on Monday, October 8. The theme of the convention is: "Anchored in Faith, We are Called to Walk on Water." The nationally known speaker Reverend David M. O'Connell, President of Catholic University, will give the keynote address. Father's address is scheduled for 2:15. Teachers will choose from over 70 various workshops. These diverse offerings ensure that each educator, from pre-k to senior high along with support staff, will find the day interesting and valuable. Included among the offerings are sessions on Prayer, Academic areas, the Fine Arts, Differentiated Instruction, Learning Difficulties, Technology, Marketing and much more. Many exhibitors ranging from textbook publishers to technology providers are scheduled to display their wares in the gym at Bethlehem Catholic throughout the day. The convention will
open with a Mass to be celebrated by Most Reverend Edward P. Cullen, D.D.,
Bishop of Allentown and close with a prayer service.
