2 Men Enter Seminary for Diocese of Allentown

September 7, 2007

Two men are beginning preparations for the priesthood in the Diocese of Allentown this month. Both men are entering St. Charles Borromeo Seminary near Philadelphia.

They are: Peter C. Secor, 18, of Reinholds and Jared V. Zambelli, 18, of Walnutport. Both are recent high school graduates. Secor graduated from Holy Name High School in Reading. Zambelli graduated from Notre Dame High School in Easton.

Father Francis Nave, the Director of the Office of Vocations for the Diocese of Allentown said, "The Diocese is blessed to have men of the caliber of these who are willing to come forth and explore the call to the priesthood." He calls it "a reflection of the vibrancy of their parishes and the Faith which has been generously passed to them through their parents."

The two new seminarians bring to 17 the number of men preparing for the priesthood in the Diocese of Allentown. All are studying at St. Charles.

Father Nave said, "It is hoped that more men of the quality and generosity of spirit of these will be open to listening to God's voice in their lives."
