Bishop, Education Secretary In Washington For Papal Events

The Most Reverend Edward P. Cullen, D.D., Bishop of Allentown and Philip J. Fromuth, M.Ed., the Diocese of Allentown's Secretary for Catholic Education will be in Washington participating in events that are part of Pope Benedict XVI's visit to the United States.

On Wednesday, April 16 at 5:30 PM, Bishop Cullen will be at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Immaculate Conception for Vespers (also called Evening Prayer) and an address to the bishops of the United States by the Holy Father.

On Thursday, April 17 at 10 AM, Bishop Cullen will be among the bishops concelebrating the Pope's first public Mass of his U.S. visit at the new Nationals Park in Washington.

Also on Thursday, Philip J. Fromuth, diocesan Secretary for Catholic Education since 2002, will be at The Catholic University of America when the Holy father speaks to Catholic educators. The address is scheduled for 5 PM.
