Youth & Young Adult Ministry


The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry (OYYAM) serves as a resource to parishes in their efforts to do the following:

  • Empower youth and young adults to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world.
  • Draw youth and young adults to responsibile participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic community.
  • Foster the human, intellectual and spiritual formation of youth and young adults.

The staff of OYYAM provide parish leadership formation, mentoring, and ongoing support as well as Diocesan opportunities for youth and young adults to experience the fullness of the Catholic faith.

Our office provides assistance to parish staff, volunteers, and parishioners in the following areas:

Boys and girls in grades 6 to 8 are invited to a simultaneous, one-day camps at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia (separate activities for girls and boys).  This camp will be held from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm on Wednesday, June 18th.  The day includes games, activities, lunch, dinner, prayer, Mass, Eucharistic Processional and an opportunity to spend the day with the Allentown Seminarians and sisters from religious communities. Theology on Tap

Theology on Tap is a series of events centered on faith topics of interest to young adults. These events feature an engaging speaker presenting a theological topic, time for discussion, faith sharing, and community building in a comfortable setting. Click here to learn more.
