Youth & Young Adult Ministry

WELCOME

The Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry (OYYAM) serves as a resource to parishes in their efforts to do the following:

  • Empower youth and young adults to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world.
  • Draw youth and young adults to responsibile participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic community.
  • Foster the human, intellectual and spiritual formation of youth and young adults.

The staff of OYYAM provide parish leadership formation, mentoring, and ongoing support as well as Diocesan opportunities for youth and young adults to experience the fullness of the Catholic faith.

Our office provides assistance to parish staff, volunteers, and parishioners in the following areas:

CALLING ALL YOUTH IN GRADES 6 TO 12 IN THE LEHIGH/NORTHAMPTON DEANERIES!!!

Join your friends for the Annual Kickball FEST from 1:30 to 5:30 pm on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Holy Family Parish, Nazareth!  This day combines faith, food, fellowship, and fun with prayer, kickball games on several fields, and a picnic dinner! There is no cost to attend, and no group is too small!  This event is sponsored by the Youth Ministry programs of the Lehigh/Northampton Deaneries.  All groups must register by contacting Sue Matour at 610-289-8900, ext. 231 no later than Friday, August 1st, and provide the name of the parish, number of youth, and name and contact information of the adult chaperone(s).

Theology on Tap is a series of events centered on faith topics of interest to young adults. These events feature an engaging speaker presenting a theological topic, time for discussion, faith sharing, and community building in a comfortable setting. Click here to learn more.
