The Office for Youth, Young Adult and Family Ministry is once again organizing the Diocesan trip to the Steubenville Summer Youth Conference in New York City. SteubieNYC 2019 will be held at St. John’s University in Queens, NY from July 19-21, 2019. The Ministry Team for this Conference includes: Chris Padgett (Host), Fr. Jose Robles-Sanchez (Priest), Josh Blakesley (Worship Leader), Emily Wilson (Speaker), Joel Stepanek (Speaker), and Bob Lesnefsky (Speaker). The theme for this upcoming year is Belong- “See what love the Father has bestowed on us, that we may be called children of God.” -1 John 3:1
The Diocesan fee for this Conference is $330 and includes transportation, registration, lodging, meals and a t-shirt. All participants stay in air-conditioned dorms with beds. This conference is open to all incoming freshman (for the 2019-2020 School Year) through graduated seniors (June 2019). Please note that any of your graduated seniors who are 18 years of age (or older) must complete all of the necessary Diocesan Safe Environment requirements.
Please register your group as soon as possible, but no later than January 15th, by emailing Thea Aclo at firstname.lastname@example.org. In your email, please provide the following information:
- Parish Name and Location
- Name of Group Leader
- Number of Teens
- Number of Adult Chaperones
- Number of Clergy
Please note that a non-refundable $50 deposit per non-clergy participant is required to hold your reserved spot. This is due to the Diocese by January 15th, 2019. Following registration, an invoice will be sent to each parish group leader. A payment schedule, and additional information regarding the Conference, will be communicated to those groups attending the Conference in late January.
