Please contact your local Catholic School for an EPSF Application. Eligible students are school age residents of Pennsylvania, enrolled in a Catholic School located in the Diocese of Allentown from a household that has a combined annual income not to exceed $50,000 (increased by $10,000 for each dependent). For example, a single parent with one child and an income that does not exceed $50,000 would qualify. A household with two parents and one child with a combined income that does not exceed $60,000 would quality. Increase the income level by $10,000 for every household dependent. School age students range from Kindergarten through graduation from high school or 21 years of age, whichever occurs first. Pre-Kindergarten students who are age 3 and 4 qualify for the Pre-K Program.

c. Other unemancipated adults or minor children living in the household and dependent upon the head of the said household.

  • Application forms must be completed, along with a copy of the most recent PA-40 State Income Tax Return (or equivalent) of every family member of the student’s household who files this form.
  • If a family is not required to file state income tax, the applicant should include a written, signed statement to that effect and attach it to the application along with any documentation related to family income such as Social Security Administration statement of monthly payment, unemployment compensation, etc.
  • The school will determine the distribution of the scholarship funds, based solely on need.
  • While families may apply for scholarships from more than one scholarship organization, the amount of scholarship funds provided cannot exceed the level of tuition at the school at which they are enrolled.
  • Scholarships are awarded in June for the next school year.
