In the five county Diocese, thousands of residents are facing hunger, unemployment, poverty, homelessness and feelings of helplessness. Catholic Charities provides a wide range of human services including case management to individuals and families in need.
Case managers are available to help individuals and families move towards greater self-sufficiency.
We offer counseling, referrals to community resources and follow-up support to help you cope with the loss of a job, a broken marriage, domestic violence, substance addiction, other family and social issues.

Housing assistance – to prevent eviction or assist with rent. Assistance that is available in Lehigh County.
Emergency food – nutritious meals are served at soup kitchens in Allentown and Pottsville. Non-perishable items are available at food pantries in Allentown, Reading and Pottsville.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Any resident of Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton or Schuylkill Counties.
There are no fees to receive case management services in this program.
If you are facing eviction from a rental unit, government funds may be available to prevent eviction or to help you relocate. A case manager will help you develop a plan to stabilize your housing.
