What happens if one decides to apply to the seminary?
The
first step is to contact the Director of Vocations. He will give you
all the necessary materials and will guide you through the process.
The
written application consists of gathering information and answering
questions. You will be asked to obtain letters of recommendation and
to provide academic and sacramental records.
You
will then meet with the Commission for Orders and Ministries. This
body of priests assists the Director of Vocations in deciding whether
or not to recommend you to the Bishop.
If
the Bishop accepts you as a seminarian, the Director of Vocation will
then forward your information to the Seminary Admissions Board. Your
acceptance is final upon acceptance to the seminary.
