The Called to Protect™ programs are an abuse prevention educational series. There are two separate programs for parents who have children over the age of 13 and parents who have children under the age of 13. Each program is an hour and a half presentation for parents.
The Called to Protect™ for Youth program is designed for parents of children over the age of 13. It explicitly assesses the issues of personal boundaries and how to recognize when they are being violated, various ways to respond to stop boundary violations and what to do if someone is being sexually abused. This program is presented to the Diocese’s high school students.
The Called to Protect for Families™ program provides information on self-protection from sexual abuse.
